One click. From any browser, any device. Drag a tab in, or use the share button. Tabu holds it.
Save it and forget it.
Tabu gives you a trusted place to put your open tabs, so you can close them and find them again when you need them.
You have 100 tabs open. You can't close any of them.
Maybe it's an article you want to read. Maybe it's a payroll page you have to deal with on Friday. Maybe it's something you Googled at 11pm and don't remember why. Whatever it is, it stays open, because closing means losing.
Your browser slows down. Your fan kicks on. Your mind holds a list it didn't ask to hold. Nobody ever taught you how to manage 100 open tabs. The tools you were given weren't built for it. It's not your fault.
Three actions. That's the whole app.
Close the tab. Close the browser. Take the laptop outside. The thing is safe.
Search by what it was, not where you put it. The AI organized everything in the background. You did nothing.
How it works
-
Install the extension.
Safari, Chrome, Firefox. Drag a tab in, or hit the share button. Done.
-
Tabu organizes in the background.
On-device AI groups similar tabs together. Articles with articles. Products with products. Open loops with open loops. You don't manage folders.
-
Find what you saved.
Search by the words you remember. Browse the pile by category. Or, if it was time-sensitive, get the tab back open on the day you needed it.
What we believe
Your data, on your machine.
The AI that organizes your tabs runs on your computer. Nothing leaves your machine. Your reading list does not belong on someone else's server.
Export everything, any time.
One click. Your saved tabs, in a format you can open without us. If you want to leave, you can leave. We're not holding anything hostage.
No streaks, no badges, no notifications.
Open Tabu when you have something to save. Close it. That's the whole product. We will never beg for your attention.
Built by people who needed it.
Shawn has spent ten years helping people clean up their digital lives. Tom has spent ten years building the kind of software he wished existed. We both have ADHD. We both have tab piles. We both have tried every productivity app, abandoned every productivity app, and gone back to leaving 100 tabs open.
So we built the thing we needed: a place to put the tab, close the tab, and trust that the tab is safe. That's it. That's the app.
What Tabu isn't.
It isn't a bookmark manager. Bookmarks are folders pretending to still be useful.
It isn't a read-it-later app. You won't read everything you save, and Tabu won't pretend you will.
It isn't a knowledge base, a second brain, or a notes app. It's a place to put the tab so you can close the tab.
It isn't free-with-ads. We charge a small amount so we don't have to sell your data. That's the deal.
Questions
Where does my data go?
On your computer. Optional sync between your devices uses your iCloud account, which is also yours. Nothing goes to our servers. We can't see what you've saved, and that's by design.
What happens if Tabu goes away?
You export your saved tabs in one click, in a format any other tool can read. The data is yours. Always.
Will this work on Windows?
Not yet. Tabu is Mac and iOS at launch. The browser extensions work everywhere. We'll add Windows when we can do it right.
How much does it cost?
A small amount, with a generous free trial. No ads, no data-selling, no tier games. Final pricing lands at launch.
Does it work with bookmarks I already have?
Yes. Import them once. Tabu will categorize them so you don't have to.
Will the AI mess up my organization?
The AI's suggestions are visible, editable, and reversible. You can override any category. The system learns from your overrides.
Is this another productivity app?
No. It's a place to put the tab.
Be the first to know when Tabu opens up.
Drop your email. We'll send one note when it's ready. That's it. No newsletter, no drip campaign.
We use your email for one launch announcement and nothing else. How we handle your data.
